Swansea Weekend Round-Up: 25–26 April 2026

Swansea saw a wide mix of sport, coastal activity and community events over the weekend, with venues across the city hosting everything from major competitions to family-friendly entertainment. Here’s a look at some of the key highlights.

Swansea Open Table Tennis Tournament – Swansea Bay Sports Park

The Swansea Bay Sports Park at Sketty Lane hosted the 2026 Swansea Open Table Tennis Tournament across Saturday and Sunday, attracting a record number of entries.

Youth and junior categories produced strong results for developing players, including wins for Li Hao Chen (U11), Lewis Wu (U13), Austin Hibbert (Cadet), Toby Harwood (Junior) and Jie Fu Tham (U21). In the senior draw, Chris Bush, representing Swansea University and the local Table Tennis Club, secured the Men’s Singles title. This year also introduced new doubles categories, expanding the format and increasing participation across the two-day schedule.

Lord Mayor’s Regatta – Swansea Bay & Mumbles

Swansea Bay hosted the Lord Mayor’s Regatta, with racing for IRC and YTC-rated yachts taking place across the weekend.

The event village at Mumbles added a community feel, with shanty band performances, pirate-themed children’s activities, face painting, stalls and family entertainment. The regatta brought together sailing crews, spectators and families for a lively coastal weekend.

Circus Vegas – Swansea Recreation Ground

Circus Vegas continued its run at the Recreation Ground, offering a mix of acrobatics, stunt acts and family-friendly performances. Weekend shows drew steady attendance from local families and visitors.

Urban HQ Film Screenings – Swansea

Urban HQ hosted several film screenings on Saturday, including A Bout de Souffle, In the Mood for Love, and Blue Is the Warmest Colour. There was also a Q&A session for Dark Tales From Wales. These screenings added a cultural element to the weekend, with a focus on independent and international cinema.

Gower Coastal Walk – Parkmill to Three Cliffs Bay

A guided 14-mile coastal walk took place on Saturday morning, starting from Shepherds Gower in Parkmill. The route covered sections of the Gower coastline, offering a steady outdoor option for walkers.

LUSH Swansea – Earth Day Craft Session

LUSH Swansea held a hands-on craft session linked to Earth Day, with bath-bomb making and creative activities for children and families.

Saturday Night Comedy – Problematic Pub Comedy Club

The Problematic Pub Comedy Club hosted its regular Saturday night comedy event, adding a light evening option to the city’s entertainment mix.

Live Music – Godsticks at The Bunkhouse

Rock band Godsticks performed at The Bunkhouse on Saturday evening as part of their 2026 tour, drawing local fans and visitors.
