An exhibition of 36 quilted wall-hangings, A3 in size made over a period of three years by members of the mid and South Wales region of the Quilters Guild of the British Isles.  It is based on the idea of “Chinese Whispers” where the last “whisper” may or may not bear any relation to the original “whisper”.  For inspiration each participant was sent just a photograph of the previous person’s quilt with no additional information.  The first “whisper” was a landscape but somewhere along the line a flapper appeared.  To see how that came about  and what the final “whisper” was, please come to the free exhibition, open 10 a.m to 4 p.m. 17th – 28th July.  Please note that the exhibition is upstairs at the venue as art classes and patchwork and quilting classes and workshops will be taking place downstairs during the time of the exhibition.  The exhibition has already been to Llandrindod Wells and Brecon; now it is the turn of Swansea to host it.
