Liza Baker from ITV’s THE VOICE UK #TeamJHudd now STARS in her
own theatre show with a fabulous live band behind her. Liza comes from
Pontypridd in Wales (Tom Jones home town) and has over 30 years
experience in the music business and has built up quite a following in
Wales as Liza Starlight performing all over the world including Europe,
The Middle East, Bahrain & America with the band Jefferson Starship
(with audiences of 22,000). Liza has recently performed on ITV’s THE
VOICE UK in front of two Saturday night TV audiences of 8 million plus,
and the celebrity judges, Sir Tom Jones, Will-I-Am, Gavin Rossdale &
Jennifer Hudson who’s team Liza became a part of on the show.

Liza also appeared on the Lorraine Kelly morning show where she talked
about her double kidney transplants & performed a little Dame Shirley
Bassey for her and the TV audience. Liza has performed along side
Christopher Biggins, the comedian Jethro at his club, Ruth Maddocks from
Hi De Hi, Max Boyce, Rhuddian, Wynne Evans (The Go Compare Singer
& BBC Radio Wales presenter), Paul Potts (Winner of the 1st ever BGT),
Owen Money (BBC Radio Wales presenter), Dennis Bryon (Drummer
with the Bee Gees), Peter Karrie (From Phantom of the Opera Fame) and
with Dame Shirley Bassey’s Musical Director amongst others. Liza has
and is currently appearing in theatre tours with her Dame Shirley Bassey
and Helen Shapiro Tribute shows.
Liza’s Many Voices Theatre Show will include the hit songs of female
singer icons such as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Dame Shirley Bassey,
Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, Lulu, Mariah Carey, Chaka Khan, Cher, to
name but a few with Liza changing her vocal style and sound to
impersonate each artiste just like Joe Longthorne did in his TV & theatre
shows years earlier. Liza will also include in the show some of her own
songs from her current albums including “My Impossible Dream” and
her cover in a jazzy slowed down style of Sir Tom Jones’s initial hit single
“It’s Not Unusual” which is regularly featured and played on BBC Radio
Wales.
Liza’s support act in her theatre show will be the fabulous Swansea Male
Choir who have been invited to perform for the first half of the show. As
Liza has been a recipient of two kidney transplants in her life time, and is a
Patron of the charity Kidney Wales, Liza has decided to donate £1 per
ticket to Kidney Wales for all of her theatre shows throughout the UK
