Ask questions, try activities, and leave with a clear answer to the question: “Can I become a teacher?”

About the PCE/PGCE programmes

The PCE/PGCE are nationally recognised teaching qualifications designed for those interested in pursuing a rewarding career in Further Education.

The programme begins in September and runs over two academic years on a part-time basis. Find out more and apply on our website.

We offer two qualifications depending on your background and the subject you wish to teach:

  1. Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (ProfGCE) for Post Compulsory Education and Training (PCET)
For those who hold a degree and wish to teach subjects such as Business, Health and Social Care, Media, Law, Engineering, or IT.
  2. Professional Certificate in Education (PCE) for Post Compulsory Education and Training (PCET)
For those looking to teach vocational subjects that typically require relevant industry experience and qualifications rather than a degree, such as Hair and Beauty, Construction, or Motor Vehicle Maintenance.
